We’ve started planning for the 2017 ALS Walk to Defeat ALS. We’re talking with friends, family, peers and clients about how this disease affects the people in the communities around Cincinnati. And, setting new goals for our team this year.
Why we participate in the Walk to Defeat ALS
Last year we completed 2 projects for clients with ALS. This year, we’ve already completed one, with one in progress and one ready to submit the V.A. grant.
We are seeing more and more clients with this horrific disease. It continues to be a heartbreaking process working with these awesome people as they progress in the disease.
Typically, from the time I first meet with a client with ALS to the day of completion, I see a significant change in their ability to walk, talk or swallow.
Friends and family, as I have told you before, this is an incredibly brutal disease and we have to find treatment or a cure.
The only way I know how to help is to sponsor a team for the ALS walk and raise money for research.
Last year we had a team of 35 and raised $3,270.00. This year during the 2017 Walk to Defeat ALS I am planning to have 50 people on the team and raise $5,000.00!
May is ALS Awareness Month. What better time to consider joining us as we support our neighbors who are suffering with this terrible disease.
Please join me to help fight for these very worthy people.
